FCPS Students Walkout
FCPS students “Walkout” in solidarity with their peers from Stoneman Douglas High School and across the county to bring attention to gun violence and school safety. I both supported and participated in the “Walkout” with my students. I believe that young people must use their collective voice to join in the national conversation regarding issues of importance to them. Kudos to my students, school leaders, teachers, and staff for making this a positive experience for student civic-engagement.
